Healthy Holiday Gift Idea #4
With all the Christmas cookies, cakes, and other treats everywhere during the holiday season, it’s nice to give a homemade gift that’s not actually food. Though the ingredients in this recipe can be found in your kitchen, this next holiday gift idea is for the outside of your body. It’s a Gingerbread Sugar Scrub and it smells and feels delicious!
What you’ll need…
- Mason Jars
- Holiday Ribbon
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Spices (Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg)
- Vanilla extract
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Ginger
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
- Cinnamon stick (optional for decoration)
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl
- Add to glass jar of choice
- Add ribbon and cinnamon stick
Homemade sugar scrubs are easy to make and so much cheaper than store-bought ones. Plus, I prefer to use as much natural stuff on my skin as possible since I have very sensitive and dry skin. The ingredients in this gingerbread sugar scrub are delicious for the skin… Sugar is an amazing exfoliant, coconut oil moisturizers and the spices fight inflammation!
